Nintendo has announced not one, but two Direct streams for next week, with a The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct taking place on Tuesday 8th September, and a regular Nintendo Direct a day later on 9th September.
Expectations are pretty high for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, which rumoured for a good long time ahead of its announcement back in June. The game is expected to release this year, so it’s just a few months away, but this is a 30 minute stream, so there could be space for some other Zelda celebrations, and the placeholder stream notes do say a “variety” of announcements are coming.
Following that, the regular Nintendo Direct will then stream on 9th September and will focus on Nintendo Switch 2 games that are launching this winter, the stream set to last around 45 minutes. This could include games through to early 2027, given that they’re talking about a season. It will be followed by a Nintendo Treehouse: Live stream to delve a little deeper into some of the games.
